The NOVA Youth Employment office is an information-rich environment where young people ages 16–24 learn to conduct effective job searches, research careers, access job listings, find volunteer opportunities, and much more. Friendly, professional staff support youth in making informed choices about jobs, education and careers. Our services include:
Youth@Work is an online employment database and resource available to any youth from 16–24 living or attending school in the cities of Cupertino, Los Altos, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, or Sunnyvale. Businesses or organizations operating in North Santa Clara County may announce their hiring needs on Youth@Work at no-cost.

Career Guidance Services
NOVA receives funds to assist economically disadvantaged, out-of-school youth (ages 16-24) in their career goals. Participants receive individualized support and meaningful work experiences. Our Career Guidance program targets:
- Foster youth
- High school drop-outs/ Youth at risk of dropping out
- Ex- offenders
- Pregnant / Parenting Teens
- Youth with disabilities
Staff assist youth explore and develop educational and career goals. Our services also provide support, resources, and guidance to achieve these goals. Goals focus on improving basic skills, attaining high school diploma/GED, pursuing higher education, training, or the military, and ultimately, securing employment.
Work Experience Program
Youth starting out in their careers are matched with employers offering work experience. Youth gain valuable skills, responsibility and income. Employers gain a motivated intern whose wages are subsidized by NOVA.
