how it works

Your 4-Step Journey

Getting started is easy, and we'll support you along the way with financial incentives, scholarships, and paid work experience.

1: Connect

Submit a short interest form and meet with a Career Advisor. They'll answer your questions, guide you through registration, and help you create a plan based on your goals.

2: Prepare

Build your skills and confidence through career exploration, resume development, and interview practice. Along the way, you'll achieve your Work Readiness Certification.

3: Launch

Take your next step: paid internship, employment, education or training. You will create a plan with your Career Advisor to make it happen.

4: Arrive

 You've started your next chapter! Whether you've landed a job, begun college, or enrolled in training, you're not on your own. We'll continue supporting you for up to one year after the program!

Eligibility

There are many ways to qualify for our services. Not sure if you're eligible? Contact us — we're here to help you figure it out.
We can help young adults 17 - 24 years old who live in San Mateo County or northern Santa Clara County who are:

If you are not currently taking classes (except adult education, YouthBuild, or JobCorps), you may qualify if you:

Did not graduate high school

Missed the most recent quarter of high school

Graduated but need academic support* with reading, writing, math, or English

Have been involved with the justice system

Are currently or recently unhoused, a runaway, in or aged out of foster care 

Are pregnant or a parent

Have a physical, mental or emotional condition* that prevents you from fully participating in school, work, or training

If you are in high school or taking college classes, you may qualify if your income is below the program guidelines*, AND you:

Need academic support* with reading, writing, math or English

Are learning English as a second language

Have been involved with the justice system

Are currently or recently unhoused, a runaway, in or aged out of foster care

Are pregnant or a parent

Have a physical, mental or emotional condition* that prevents you from fully participating in school, work, or training

Academic Support Needs

You may qualify if you need support building basic skills in reading, writing, or math, or if using English in work, school, or daily life is challenging.

Disability or Accommodation Needs

You may qualify if you have a physical, mental or emotional condition that affects learning, focus, communication, or participation in school, work, or training programs. This can include visible or invisible conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, learning differences, or chronic health conditions.

We can provide accommodations to help you fully participate in our programs.

Income Guidelines

You may be eligible if you receive public assistance (such as SNAP) or if your household income is below the amounts listed here:
