Warn Notices

The WARN Act requires employers to give 60-days’ notice before a mass layoff, plant closure, or relocation. Employers must notify employees and both state and local representatives. This helps workers prepare for job loss, find new jobs, or train for new opportunities.

Use these resources to help you navigate the WARN process.

A California state-required legal notification that requires employers which employ 75 or more full and part-time employees in the preceding 12 months, to give at least a 60-day notice to employees and local representatives before a layoff of 50+ employees or a plant closure involving any number of employees. To file a WARN notice, notify affected employees and the entities listed below. WARN notices can be submitted via email, regular mail, or fax. If submitted via email, one notice can be sent to all of the required entities listed below in a single message.

Schedule a meeting with our team to discuss and plan for the services your employees will need.
We offer two types of information sessions - Customized Group Sessions and Public Sessions. We will partner with you to select the best option to support your needs.

We’ll work with you to plan information sessions for your employees.
We will customize the sessions to complement any paid outplacement services you may be providing your employees, and tailor them to meet your specific needs. Our information sessions can be delivered in-person or virtually.

Receive access for your employees to attend regularly scheduled layoff assistance information webinars delivered by NOVAworks and EDD representatives. The 60-minute sessions are virtual and occur bi-weekly.
In these sessions, employees transitioning to a new career will learn about:
