NOVA's Classes and Workshops

There are over 20 workshops to assist job seekers in learning how to navigate the job search process from gaining a clear focus, to writing a resume, job searching, interviewing and negotiating a job offer. Check the NOVA Job Center calendar for a schedule of the workshops that are free and available on a first-come basis to registered NOVA Job Center members. Go to How to Access Services to learn how to become a registered NOVA Job Center member.

What are Workshops?

Workshops are first-come-first-serve and usually involve 1.5 to 3 hours of instruction. Some workshops have changing content to keep up on the latest information for job seekers and handouts may be limited due to the nature of the information. Example workshops are: Ace the Interview, Networking, and Negotiating the Offer.

What are Classes?

Classes at NOVA require members to sign up in advance. They are more in-depth and involved longer instructions times. Currently, classes include computer skills courses and Communication Essentials.
