The Veterans' Employment-Related Assistance Program (VEAP) provides customized job search and vocational training assistance to veterans who are unemployed or underemployed. This program targets, but is not limited to, recently separated veterans released from active duty within the past 48 months.
VEAP services include:
- Assistance in navigating the transition from military to civilian workforce.
- One-on-one job-search coaching.
- Job-search skills training, including interviewing prep, résumé development, and networking.
- Soft-skills training in communication, team building, and problem solving.
- Short-term vocational training or on-the-job training.
- Job-placement assistance.
- Supportive services, as needed.
- Follow-up services to facilitate job retention for customers who successfully complete the program with employment.
