When funding is available, NOVA can provide assistance with training for customers who meet eligibility requirements and who need additional skills to return to work or to change careers.
Training may be available through the following grants:
- Adult Allocation Grant
Limited training funds are available to adult job seekers who experience one or more barriers to employment and meet NOVA's "Adult Priority of Service" policy criteria. Eligibility is determined at time of CONNECT registration.
NOTE: As of 3/14/13, training funds are at capacity.
- Dislocated Worker Grant
NOTE: As of 4/25/13, training funds are available.
- Additional Assistance Grant
Funding may be available for either classroom training through the Additional Assistance Grant if you were laid off from any of the following companies in 2011 or after:
